We welcome long-time teacher and coach John Kuppenbender, someone who taught, coached and inspired me in life and who I get to call a friend now. John Kuppenbender resides in the great town of Mt. Angel, OR. He is Married to his better half Pam Kuppenbender and has two daughters, Sarah and Kelly. We invited John to the show to speak about the power of Attitude.

Building the mental skill of positive attitude (in time):
Level 1 Level 2 Level 3
- Choose and maintain a positive attitude. (it is a choice- fish market)
- Maintain a high level of self-motivation. (why, what working for?)
- Set high, realistic standards. (what does success here look like?)
- Deal effectively with people. (be a good seeker)
- Use positive self-talk. (thought control, eliminate negative thinking)
- Use positive mental imagery (how do you see something happening)
- Manage anxiety effectively (preparation: Confidence: rep rep rep)
- Manage emotions effectively. (Emotional intelligence: why? reinforce or adjust)
- Maintain concentration/focus. (help a moment for now and long term)
